Education = Actualize Potentials
The Purpose of education is beautifully defined by both Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda. Gandhiji states, “By education, I mean an all-round drawing of the best in child and man in body, mind and spirit;” while Swami Vivekananda spoke the same in a different version by saying, “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man.” Education, therefore, is to bring out the inherent potentials hidden in a person to actualize him/her to be a fine human person.
St. Vincent Pallotti School is that platform set up by the Pallottine Fathers to nurture the budding stars of the future Indians (especially the Indorians). Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam has rightly said, “The purpose of education is to make good human beings with skill and expertise. Enlightened human beings can be created by teachers [and parents].” Come, let us work together to make that vision a reality!
